Field Notes

Description:

well spaced flower tufts in the axils of the smooth slender leaves where they join the stem

Habitat:

woodlands, thickets

Notes:

I spotted this at Short Hills provincial park. I didn't really notice the blue stems of the common name but the description seems to match with this species.
