Field Notes

Description:

Hanging out of a rough rock wall near my garage (supported by string). Perennial herb. 2 to 7 ft tall. Stem: Purplish, glaucous and smooth below the inflorescence. Leaves: Alternate, mostly smooth, sharply toothed, narrowly lanceolate; 3-6 inch long. Flowers: Ray flowers Yellow.

Habitat:

Moist thickets and rough woodland edges.
