Description:

The picture here is of a young one. Adults can grow to be very large and very heavy. Large head and bites can cause loss of finger. Spikes along the back of shell and tail. Gray or brown in color.

Habitat:

Swamps, marshes, ponds

Notes:

Adults have a very dangerous bite!
