Description:

I spotted this French Broom plant walking the Ferry Point Loop Trail in Point Richmond, CA. The blossoms are beautiful, but it is not native to California and is considered invasive. It is native to countries surrounding the Mediterranean and in the Azores

@Emma: I only spotted two Sierran tree frogs. One on a path and one in a cabbage! I visited the pond in the Asian section, but did not see any frogs. I'm sure with the rain there will be more out and about. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7354855 http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7321051

Just found that the ID for this plant is French Broom. The blossoms are beautiful, but it is not native to California and considered invasive.
