Field Notes

Description:

About 140 cm long. They are dark, long, slender, and shiny. When they have a pale color, sometimes two darker lines can be visible, but if their body color is dark, they usually have white freckles all over their body. Their belly is yellow. They are active by day. In the warmer months of the year, they come out in late afternoon or early morning.

They are very good climbers. It is the only tree snake in Europe. Simple test (I tried it) if you hold the snake by the tale it can raise the head above the tail. This is a thing only tree snakes can do, the others lack the agility and the muscle power.

Habitat:

Found over most of France except in the north, the Spanish Pyrenees and the eastern side of the Spanish northern coast, North of Italy, the Balkan peninsula and parts of Switzerland and Austria. Some isolated populations in western Germany and in the northwest of the Czech Republic.

Notes:

The snake in the symbole of the doctors is lead back to this typ snake.

Super Serie ! Wäre großartig wenn du es zur 'Reptiles and Amphibians of Central Europe' Mission hinzufügen würdest ! http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/13293017
Thanks Corduneanu. I added the info to the listing.
You can add the following thing to the description: It is the only tree snake in Europe. Simple test (I tried it) if you hold the snake by the tale it can raise the head above the tail. This is a thing only tree snakes can do, the others lack the agility and the muscle power.
