Field Notes

Description:

This shot was taken a very very long time ago with my point and shoot Kodak D3500. The Garter Snake was having a time of it with this toad that appeared to be much more than it had expected then it decided to have dinner.

Notes:

We were walking up the stairs at Letchworth State Park in Western NY, shortly after I proposed to my partner of 3 years. (that was four years ago last week). It was quite the odd occurrence to capture this image as I've never seen a wild snake feeding before or since. It really added a nice cap to the already amazing day that we were having. I hope everyone enjoys this as much as I did and still do!
