Description:

Spotted this Skipper Butterfly on a lavender flower while I was walking in the Oakland Estuary, CA. It was in the landscape area next to the walkway. I do not know the specific species.

I see them all the time. Mostly the Fiery Skippers, but occasionally I'll see one I do not recognize.
There used to be so many of these in Santa Rosa when I was a kid. I hardly ever see them anymore, though...
