Field Notes
Description:
Olive to yellowish underparts. The wings are mostly brown with two faint wing bars. The teardrop-shaped white eyering is key in identification.
Habitat:
Spotted in a canyon with mixed forest along Eagle Creek in Lincoln County, New Mexico. Pic 4 shows the habitat. Vegetation had perked up after recent rains.
Notes:
Primarily lives in the Rocky Mountains and migrates to Mexico for the winter.
