Field Notes

Description:

Lots of spring flowers starting to bloom. These are amongst the earliest with the Orchids and Lilies.

Habitat:

Heath, open Eucalypt forest, Adelaide hills

Notes:

Formally Myriocephalus stuartii. Erect annual herb 10-50cm, stems woolly-hairy. Leaves narrow, linear-lancelolate, Flowershemispherical 2-4cmacross deep yellow disc florets surrounded by several rows of white papery bracts.
