Field Notes

Description:

This white-breasted Nuthatch is stealing nesting material from one side of this house and putting into another side. The small songbird has a long pointed beak is gray on top and has a white belly. It is the middle of a cold winter here in VT - maybe last nights wind got to her and she needed more insulation. Quite cute watching from the kitchen window.
