Field Notes

Description:

These fuzzy-headed grasses seem to be fairly common throughout this beginning section of the park. The seedheads were, from my memory (didn't think to pay attention at the time), maybe 1.5" long and have brown "hairs".

Habitat:

Near the banks of the C&O Canal.
