Field Notes

Description:

"Previously known as Micronia astheniata, this moth of the Uraniidae family is found in south-east Asia, from India to Fiji, including New Guinea and the tropical north of Australia."

Habitat:

This moth showed up at the house overnight, presumably attracted to a porch light.

Notes:

This poor specimen was photographed on a high ceiling in bright morning sunlight so it is not the sharpest photo. (Coordinate position approximate).
