Its a Global specie. Same find in India. It has 2 variety in flowers Pink and White.

This is, perhaps, from the Persicaria genus (maybe vulgaris). You might want to explore some of the possibilities on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persicaria. There are a number of species. Growing up on the farm, we called this, or perhaps something similar, lady's thumb.
