Description:
Small passerine bird from a family Paridae, easily recognized by its azure-blue, yellow and white colors. It appears tiny, and is smaller than sparrow, with some 10 cm in length.
The eaurasian blue tit was previously classified in genus Parus, and can still be found in literature as Parus caeruleus
Habitat:
Seen on our balcony feeders in winter. This birds are our regular visitors in autumn and winter time, and we see them regularly from our window in garden and on feeders... When it becomes warmer in Alps and Jura, they take off, and we see them rarely.
We live in urban, or rather semi-urban setting around Geneva; and our region is quite wooded and close to nature and flanks of Jura mountain range and its Natural Reserve.
