Description:

The Ugandan red colobus (Procolobus tephrosceles) is an endangered species of red colobus monkey. It is an Old World monkey which is only found in 5 different locations across Uganda and Tanzania.

Habitat:

Kibale National Park (pronounced Chibale) is a national park in South Uganda protecting moist evergreen rain forest. It is 766 km² in size and is located between 1,100–1,600 meters in elevation.. The northern part of the park has the highest elevation. Kibale is one of the last remaining expanses to contain both lowland and montane forests. In East Africa, it sustains the last significant expanse of pre-montane forest.

Notes:

These monkeys were deep in the forest, quite high up the trees... difficult to photograph.
