Description:

This flower's scent and texture mimics rotting flesh. (Don't worry, it wasn't noticeable while taking pictures!) It is, however, strong enough to attract flies (2nd picture). These flies are the pollinators of the carrion flower.

Habitat:

Spotted growing in the US tropical south. FL gulf coast. Native to South Africa. Desert.
