Description:

Hawaiian endemic genus, Kaua`i endemic species, nearly extinct in the wild. Plant growing at McBride Garden, part of the National Tropical Botanical Garden Headquarters on the island of Kaua`i.

Habitat:

Known native range is remnant dry forest. Thrives in cultivation.

Notes:

Listed as endangered with the US Fish & Wildlife Service.
