Description:

Caught in a fishing net with a seagull. Saved the seagull but sadly we came to late for this one. I think maybe the seagull was investigating the dead bird when he got caught too.

Habitat:

Lake Huron, St. Martins Bay

Yes sadly. Some folks got their boat flipped over and drowned years ago because of fishing nets. Now the fisherman have markers marking where the nets so humans can get around them. We still see the problem it creates with our wildlife in the area.

Sad to hear about this guy...but also glad to hear that the seagull made it :) Is this something that commonly happens in the area?
