Description:

I think this bird was trying to tie its neck in knots!

The grey heron (Ardea cinerea), is a wading bird of the heron family Ardeidae.

Habitat:

This bird was in a tree in an area of the wetlands that had been reclaimed for farming. The community project is preserving the wetlands and making sure no-one encroaches on it any more.

Notes:

Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. Located outside Kibale Forest park in Magombe Swamp. The sanctuary was set up to preserve the exclusive environmental features along with the wetland.
