Field Notes

Description:

Caught in the act - burying his walnut stash by the zinias and buddleia - see the black around his mouth and paws. Shot close through the office window. I see one or two of these animals in the garden daily. In England they were said to have lead to the area demise of the Red squirral. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_gray_squirrel

Habitat:

Wood land.

Yes he is - I like him - locally people will hunt and eat them and some think he's a rodent.
