what great luck to get one with eyes open during daytime. being nocturnal, they usually sleep all day. Herre is mine with eyes mostly closed: https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/818731636
Better to be safe then and leave them all alone. :-)
@Mark Ridgway I always get confused with which of these has the poison bite & I always get confused with their defense.
Not correct jackemled. You might be thinking of the Slow Loris of SE Asia - Nycticebus spp. They has a poisonous bite and does not stab with elbows.
He licks his elbows & stabs you with them, & his spit is very poisonous, so don't hug it. Seriously it stabs you with poison covered elbows.
Lovely photo :) Thanks for sharing.
saw this one in the neighboring town. cute animal.
Awesome, impressive !!!
Very nice spotting.. Stunning picture.
Do you see that master frodo?
Great shot Jon! I was also looking for your koala pic in PN, but did not find it. Anyways, I still want to congratulate you for having your sleeping koala pic featured in NatGeo's Daily Dozen: http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/your-shot/daily-dozen. Congrats Jon!
How gorgeous is he! What a beautiful photo!
This little guy probably inspired Hollywood to create the "Mogoï" character in "The gremlins". Such a lovely spot
