Description:

approx. 3 inch wingspan, black with bright yellow stripes

Habitat:

spotted on porterweed in front yard

Notes:

(this was taken in early morning bright sunlight so the colors are off) Eventhough the zebra longwing is the official state butterfly of Florida, they are fairly rare in this area.
