I think the word 'Tree' is used in a sense of 'important living flora' not the strict classification sense. Remember the rice God of the Philippines, rice is a 'tree of salvation' to the adherents.
That's great that you can get there so cheap. That is a strange national tree to have considering bamboo (and rice) are both classified as grasses.
I guess living in southern Britian has some advantages, these low cost airlines can get me to the Atlas mountain and back for less than a days wage!! Oh, just found the official tree of Vietnam it is the humble Bamboo. One of my very favorite living things. And also rice as well, ( world smallest tree).
That is quite possible. Btw, have fun in Morocco. I always wanted to hike in the Atlas mountains.
I found the Tiger, Water Buffalo and Dragon are national symbols of Vietnam so maybe they don't have a strong link with trees?
Hey James, I can't find anything about the national tree of Vietnam, so I'm not sure. I do remember the fauna of The Philippines.
Is this the national tree of Vietnam? I'm off to Morocco and want to see the Atlas Cedar. Remember the Breadfruit trees of the Philippines.. thanks for the introduction, but I still insist I know my Mango trees.
I just found this info about you http://blog.projectnoah.org/ is amazing how you became a top spotter in a short time. I would like to be an expert too
