Thanks S. Frazier....you helped ID it....now it has a name.
Yes it does, Alice (That was a Dalmation wall lizard, Podarcis melisellensis). There are other members of the genus in Italy besides that one, like the Italian wall lizard, Podarcis sicula, and others. I think this spotting must be Podarcis sp.
