@KarenL: I did just catch one squirrel on my balcony today eating the bird seeds. They are pretty smart.
Ours are too lazy to be bothered with the sunflowers! They prefer to raid the seeds in the feeders - it's a lot less effort for them!
I know--I could not get mad at her for eating all of the sunflower seeds! :)
