I think you should drag picture 2 into the #1 spot; it's fantastic. It's so sad that these birds are threatened. Here in CA, their realtives and look-alikes are fine.
Like auntnance implied, the complete name is Florida Scrub-Jay. I think the 'Florida' part of the name is very important as this is the only bird endemic to Florida. Great photos!
I like the 2nd shot....have such a serious LOOK!
