This hazelnut sappling is growing atop the endless numbers of wooden logs floating on spirit lake, meaning the location of it is never the same. A wandering hazelnut.

Very cool. Spirit Lake is beautiful, and how the area has changed since Mt. St. Helens erupted is pretty amazing. Thanks for posting this!
I corrected the location, it is indeed the Spirit Lake near Mt. St. Helens
Is this Spirit Lake at the base of Mt. St. Helens? If so, your location is incorrect. A search for Kelso, WA will put you close if that's the location you meant. If I'm incorrect please ignore this. The lake name and floating logs just made me think this could be by Mt. St. Helens.
