Okay, that's good. That's what I was thinking too.

I'll probably upload the last 4 photos as a different spotting. I'm also convinced they are Melastoma malabathricum, also known as Malatungaw/Malatungao or Supsop here in the Philippines.

I'm not sure. Most photos I see of Osbeckia stellata have 4 petals, where as your other photos have 6 petals and much longer stamens. They are very closely related.

Don't you think they're the same specie? I think the 1st photo is a young flower plant of the same kind. It's just about 5-7 inches tall from the ground, growing not far from the last 4 photos.

Arun and dan, thanks for helping me ID this spotting. I added some photos too. The last 4 were from a different plant, but they were all in the same area.
