Check EOL http://eol.org/pages/13718781/overview This site uses Paropsisterna as the genus. I believe most of the Chrysophtharta has been reclassified into Paropsisterna.
This is a definately a Eucalyptus leaf beetle, sometimes called a tortoise beetle (Paropsisterna nobilitata.) You will find them on flickr and this link shows several. http://www.flickr.com/photos/49029566@N03/4702599160/in/gallery-66925960@N08-72157627836822370/ Ladybird beetles have the same basic shape but are carnivorous but leaf beetles eat ... leaves.
It looks like it could be a type of Eucalyptus Leaf Beetle.
I mean... I'll look it up!
Really? ohh thanks ! I will for look that.
Hi Jimena, this looks more like a Tortoise beetle (Chrysomellidae-Cassidinae). Lady bugs belongs to a different family (Coccinellidae).
Yep, really nice and the yellow part was almost gold. :)
