Brown Anole
Anolis sagrei
25.4428, -80.5046
Field Notes
Description:
A small, invasive, and absurdly common species in south Florida. This individual has grown two tails. Whether due to a partially dropped tail that still held functional vascular tissue or because of a birth defect.
Habitat:
Found in a farm stand near the northern edge of Everglades National Park.
Notes:
Not the best pic since it was taken with a phone, but the mutation needed documenting.
