Field Notes

Notes:

I was out in my back yard when this bird appeared and started picking around under my bird feeders. I ran inside to get my camera and managed to locate it in the woods and snap a couple of pictures. I hear them occasionally, but this is the first one I've seen in years. I hope it continues to show up.

It's funny, I was out in the yard and this bird walked right past me. It was a little skittish, but seemed remarkably unconcerned by my presence. I'm just glad I was able to find it again after I'd run inside for my camera.
Hey...that's great! I hear them but don't see them...good catch!
