Description:

Tiny brown mushroom that grows on rotting wood, has whitish gills, and lines on the cap.

Habitat:

Logs in the forest

Notes:

This fungus grows on wood, helping to decompose it. Don't eat Mycena mushrooms; a few species are edible, but difficult to ID, and a few are toxic, but most have unknown edibility.
