Description:

A black fly with orange thorax.

Habitat:

Found hanging on the tip of an ornamental grass leaf.

Notes:

Also called honeymoon fly or double headed bug. After mating is complete they can remain attached for several days. The front of cars are covered with dead love bugs this time of the year here in the southeastern U.S.
