Field Notes

Description:

Is he a Sombre Tit? Help

Habitat:

Woodlands, Gardens. I put down seed because all the trees around us had small leaves and to catch a picture of them there is a hard task. They would come snatch seeds even when we were eating our lunch on the Balcony.

Species ID Suggestions

Great tit

Parus major

I would also go with Great Tit, it appears to have the bar down the middle, and from what I can see a yellow belly? Of course, that might be the photo, you of course were the one to see it in the flesh! But I would go with great tit.
My book says it has yellow underparts which this bird does not have.
