Field Notes
Description:
Native to North America, males have large curved horns and females have smaller ones with less of a curve. Their body color ranges from brown to gray and they have white on their noses and rumps.
Habitat:
Found from the Rocky Mountains in Canada down to the deserts of the American Southwest. Normally will inhabit alpine meadows, grassy mountain slopes, and foothill country near rugged, rocky cliffs and bluffs.
Notes:
Spotted in South Dakota Badlands near the Notch Trail.
