Description:

Is a critically endangered sea turtle belonging to the family Cheloniidae.
In Isla Mujeres they have a turtle farm to help this species. They pick up the eggs from nests to save them from poachers. They grow the sea turtles for a few days in small pools, then release them in the sea. Many come back to Isla Mujeres beaches every year to lay their eggs.

Habitat:

Sea tropical waters.
