Description:

most common migrant Catharus species in NA } olive and russet-backed
typically bold buffy eye ring and supraloaral patch of most Swainson's Thrushes is distinctive. Several Subspecies most all summering in Northern Canada, with some fingers of breeding in ID, Montana, WA, WY, OR, Great Lakes to East Coast.

Habitat:

breeding in deciduous and mixed forests and riparaian habitat.

Notes:

found in several locations in Southcentral Montana on Oct 4th as they make their way South!
