Field Notes

Description:

An adult Willow Flycatcher in my yard. Not the best pic, but good enough for Identification. Note the straight tail and short primary projection, which differentiate it from the very similar Eastern Wood-Pewee. The Willow and Alder Flycatchers are almost indistinguishable, but this bird is identified as a Willow over Alder based on range.

Habitat:

Open Woodland
