Cool but wrered and I never went to that place.bromeliads are the coolest flowers in the world! Did you know that the bromiliads roots have a diferent job? Thei dont suck in water!
Amazing how many plants can grow on such a thin branch! Thanks for uploading!
Ceherzog, the site bellow has many informations about Burle Marx: http://sitioburlemarx.blogspot.com/rx.
I've never been to Brazil but one day...I hope. I'd also love to see some of the gardens designed by Roberto Burle Marx
Ok, you were right again. Thank you. You see, ceherzog, this picture was taken at the Atlantic forest. People who live in temperate areas just can't imagine the biodiversity we find here. One single tree can host up to 20 or 30 different species of plants (bromeliads, lianas, orchids, etc.), not to mention insects, spiders, reptiles, frogs and birds. Did I mention it is my favorite place in the world?
There are a few bromeliads in this pic..The flowering one could be Tillandsia stricta but the leaf blades seem rather wide...here are some pics, what do you think? http://www.google.com/search?q=tillandsia+stricta&hl=en&biw=1920&bih=910&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=bX6XToqqHpS5twekv9iCBA&sqi=2&ved=0CEYQsAQ
