Field Notes

Description:

I have noticed a trend of our ants in Florida. During the dry season they may make nests even on sidewalks, but when we have a couple days of heavy showers, nests get moved to high ground. This nest told me we had heavy rain while we were in Europe because this picture was on high ground.

Habitat:

Can be found hopefully in the soil more often than in the walls of your house which is possible.
