Field Notes

Description:

The body alone was about 5 cm. Looks like glowing patches on the head and under the feet.

Habitat:

Sitting a little bit over two meters up in a wine on a tree. Bushcamp. Found in the evening.

Notes:

I have not been able to find so much information about this species.

Tina The best match I can get from my insect field guide is the large brown longhorn (Macrotoma palmata). It gives a body length of 50mm and that they are nocturnal. Cannot find a good internet reference so see if you can find anything.
