Description:

Also known as the red rock crab, these crabs were covering the black lava rocks along the coast lines of Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz, Galapagos. They get the 'lightfoot' in one of their common names from their ability to jump from rock to rock.

Habitat:

In the sea shallows and on the coast-line black lava rocks.

Yes, great shots! These are males. Males are larger, are really bright red - and have a "brush", a number of bristles, on the inside of their front two walking legs, visible on the third of your spottings.
