Description:

This moth of the family Noctuidae has a wingspan up to 54 mm. Although they can be quite variable in colour they are easily recognised by the large oval kidney like marks and a prominent ‘W’ on the forewings.

Habitat:

Resting on the floor in a front porch.

Notes:

Norwegian name: S⁠tort engfly
