Description:

Smaller than a pigeon, slender with a gray to tan upper body and dingy white to light gray lower body. Faster in flight than pigeons.

Habitat:

Open fields, playgrounds and suburban areas with perching areas.

Notes:

This bird has a very soulful, melancholy song.
