Field Notes

Description:

These male Long Horned Bees were so docile in the orchid's lip that you could touch them & sometimes they didn't even move. They're supposed to deposite pheremone guides for females but really did appear drugged.

Habitat:

In Stipa gigantea grassland on the edge of Quercus suber forest.

Notes:

Can anyone ID the Eucera from these?
