Field Notes

Habitat:

Deciduous wooded areas and urban parks throughout the eastern United States and southern Canada. It prefers locations with rocky areas, brush or log piles, and shrubs to provide cover.

Notes:

One of the birds eating some seeds and crumbs, placed out in the parking lot of this hotel, was not a sparrow or a robin!!! This cutie was taking full advantage of the food among some birds. Seemed to live in a nearby wood pile by a stream and a bit of wooded area behind the hotel.
