Field Notes

Notes:

I was concerned when I couldn't find all of the caterpillars I have been observing in one of my maples http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7375653 but today I spotted 2 cocoons! The final caterpillar is still munching away happily!

That would be really cool! :)
Thanks misako! I'm seriously thinking of bringing at least one cocoon indoor overwinter - I so want to see a polyphemus moth!
