Red Wattle Bird

They're a common sight on our property and a breeding pair have built a nest in a bottle brush tree outside our kitchen window. We think there are eggs (parents are very protective), but the nest is too high in the tree to check.

You can see the distinctive red wattles (leading to the bird's common name) in the 4th photograph.
