This looks like a male gypsy moth to me - you can just see it's bushy antennae!
That's okay, just thought I'd ask. It will be hard to ID from just this angle, but you might have luck on this site. http://www.pbase.com/bo_z/moths_na_6256x7662_geometroidea_moths
I think this is a Geometrid moth. Do you have any more photos of it?
