Description:
It is a large mushroom, (I don't know of which species,) that is growing out of a tree on my street. It is kind of a nude color with brown accents. It has grown a little since these picture's were taken.
Habitat:
I spotted this on tree growing outside of my house in Hyde Park, Chicago. It was growing out of a part of the tree were the bark was gone, and a hole was starting. The summer had been very hot and and it was still nice out but not hot. I live a couples blocks away from the lakefront and there is also a nearby prairie the city is restoring.
